The renovation at the Ermler car dealership by the lake is not just about new walls and new areas – we are also completely redesigning our processes. The goal is a clearer structure, more focus on the brands, and, above all, a more pleasant experience for our customers.
Clear brand separation: Mercedes-Benz and BYD get their own areas
A central point in the new concept is the brand-appropriate separation of our areas. The area around the previous main entrance – internally known as "Entrance/Cashier/Customer Parking" – will in the future become the Mercedes-Benz area: with parking spaces and an exhibition area for Mercedes-Benz.
At the same time, our previous used car area will be put to a new use: it will become the BYD area with BYD parking. This creates clear orientation and a brand image that is understandable at first glance.
New main entrance: Arrive and feel at home
The renovation also creates a new main entrance that is deliberately designed differently than before: in the future, every customer will enter directly into a showroom – bright, open, and inviting. Right at the entrance, 2–3 employees will be seated as the first point of contact: to greet, guide, direct, and, if desired, to make any waiting time as pleasant as possible with a coffee.
The new entrance area is designed so that you immediately see the vehicles upon entering while having a spacious waiting area – with high tables, coffee tables, and comfortable seating options.
Workshop reception separated from the showroom
A sliding door leads into the previous entrance area, which will in the future be used as a workshop customer area. There, five people will work, taking care of reception, appointment scheduling, and orders: What needs to be repaired? What is needed? Which appointments are possible?
The separation ensures more peace and quiet in the workshop process: less hustle and bustle, less phone noise in the showroom – and a clearer customer experience. Arrive, get oriented, feel comfortable – then move on to the reception in a structured manner.
Better processes through internal structure
Internally, things will also be more clearly separated:
One team will take care of customer support and communication, the workshop team will focus on fast, reliable repairs. In between lies the warehouse as an important interface – in the future, processes there will be more efficient and responsibilities clearer.
Because areas have been redistributed due to new offices, the courtyard area is also being expanded: the old "gardener" area is being developed further to house the new workspaces.
We will continue to keep you updated on the renovation progress – thank you for your patience and understanding during the construction phase.
