In a short video, we introduced you to the new Mercedes-Benz VLE – and after just the first impressions, it becomes clear: A fully electric Grand Limousine is arriving here, taking comfort, efficiency, and modern technology to a new level.
Fully electric with 800-volt technology
The VLE uses 800-volt technology and is therefore designed for fast charging and high long-distance capability. In the video, we talk about a range of around 700 km as well as fast charging of up to 300 kW – which ideally means: recharging around 300 km within approximately 15 minutes.
Aerodynamics and agility
When it comes to efficiency, the shape also plays a major role: With a drag coefficient of 0.25, the VLE is very aerodynamic – an important factor for range and consumption. In addition, there is rear-axle steering (up to 7 degrees), which makes the VLE surprisingly agile: the video mentions a turning circle of under 11 meters.
Comfort details in everyday life
It also gets practical when getting in and out: The VLE offers electric sliding doors, which, according to the video, can also be opened via a kick function. Additionally, there is an openable window in the sliding door area – a detail that one quickly appreciates in everyday life.
New multimedia and intelligent navigation
Inside, a completely new multimedia system is to be used – including very powerful voice control and intelligent navigation, which should make everyday life (and especially longer trips) significantly more relaxed.
